Best Buy to offer free next-day delivery feature on various products

Online retailers are always launching new and attractive deals during the holiday season, as it grosses the highest sale time for the year. Several retailer rollout out attractive offers, such as discounts or complimentary gifts to boost sales.

Best Buy too made a similar development when it announced that it would provide free next-day delivery for various items, a move that would help it gain more customers during the holiday season. As per credible reports, the service would be applicable on various items like headphones, espresso machines and tablets, however, would exclude bigger products such as refrigerators and big-screen TVs.

Best Buy claims that 99% of its buyers would be able to get free next-day delivery. Meanwhile, people who stay in remote areas, where the service isn’t present, would get free standard shipping on all items.

Also, the retailer has provided the option of getting the orders within an hour from its local stores. However, other retailers have too made some similar announcements.

For instance, earlier in April, Amazon revealed that it plans to spend $800 million during the Q2 to execute one-day shipping for every Amazon Prime subscriber. While, in June, the company officially started to provide free one-day delivery on more than 10 million items.

Walmart also announced its plan in May to begin offering next-day shipping for over 200,000 products on its website.

However, Walmart has a minimum purchase requirement of $35 for its free next-day delivery feature which draws them back from the race. Though, to enjoy free one-day delivery from Amazon, customers need to subscribe Prime, which goes up to $119 annually.

In addition to offering free next-day delivery service, Best Buy has recently bought in some attractive offers for this holiday season, such as discount of $100 on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus and $300 on Sony’s 65-inch 4K TV.
