Intel partners with AREA15 to make new strides in the retail sector

To thrive in this digital age, reinvention has become a vital aspect for the retail industry. The quest to draw new customers has encouraged retailers to come up with unique and engaging shopping ideas. To further this cause, Intel has reportedly announced a partnership with Las Vegas-based experiential retail and entertainment complexes, AREA15.

To stand out in the market, AREA15 offers immersive experiences and activations, live events, monumental art installations, and employs cutting-edge technology and much more for the retail environment.

Joe Jensen, Vice President and General Manager of Banking, Retail, Education and Hospitality Division, Intel, said that only top retailers today can afford to implement and explore design in their stores. The company believes that authentically engaging, immersive, and inspiring experiences in the retail segment are not only possible but should be accessible to everyone.

With this collaboration, the company would help AREA15 to provide world-class, scalable experimental retail solutions for brands and retailers of all sizes, claims Jensen.

According to sources, the alliance will initially focus on innovative experiential retail design, following the launch of Intel© Experience Incubation Hub. From creatives to technologists, the partnership will allow retail ecosystem partners to test front line technologies and new design concepts.

Opening in April, the AREA15 property aims to be the central hub for the new experience economy, developing a flexible platform where Intel’s Intel© experience Incubation Hub innovation would play a vital role. Early experiences and collaborators featured in experience Incubation Hub include Papinee, Artist TRAV, ThenWhat Inc., Pressure Point Creative, and Variant.

Winston Fisher, Chief Executive Officer of AREA15 and partner in Fisher Brothers, said that the company is a radical reimagining of retail, where visitors could inspire and authentically engaged in an otherworldly setting.

They are partnering with Intel to merge technology with experience design, and jointly raise the bar of experience design and developing best practices for blending art, technology, and commerce in exciting, and unexpected ways, said Fisher.
