Invicro & icometrix to offer comprehensive imaging core lab services

A Konica Minolta company Invicro LLC has reportedly entered into a partnership with icometrix to seamlessly offer the most comprehensive range of imaging core lab services in the world along with the most robust FDA approved MRI informatics capabilities via automated workflows.

As per trusted sources, pharmaceutical sponsors will encounter only one point of contact for study site set-up and training which will align with a single platform for managing data, sharing and analytics.

For the uninitiated, Invicro is a renowned supplier of quantitative imaging biomarkers, fundamental lab services, and software solutions for research and drug development. Meanwhile, Belgium-based icometrix is world’s leading software solutions provider with expertise in acquiring clinically meaningful information from brain MRI and CT scans, reported sources.

This unique collaboration brings together aligned core lab procedures and advanced imaging technologies with software for clinical trials that are FDA approved. The collaboration will aid the supply of a more effective and flexible solution to escalate drug discovery and development and offer better understandings in disease diagnostics.

Dr. Jacob Hesterman, Invicro’s Founding Partner and Head of R&D stated that the company is thrilled about the partnership with icometrix to mutually provide global imaging core lab services and cutting-edge analytics capabilities generating workflows with high-reliability and consistent data outcomes.
Hesterman further stated that Invicro’s Biotech and Pharma sponsors will profit from the combination of recognized core lab operational excellence and analytics with strong and trailblazing analysis tools for disease areas like Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and Traumatic Brain Injury, allowing statistically powerful quantitation as well as swift and accurate decision making.

For the record, the Boston-based Invicro was founded in 2008 with a mission of enhancing the function and role of imaging in translational medicine discovery and development in all therapeutic areas. As a part of Konica Minolta precision medicine organization and with its subsidiary Ambry Genetics, the company developed and leverages the latest tactics in quantitative biomarkers including genomics, quantitative pathology, and imaging, reported sources.
