Jollibee launches delivery service via DoorDash in U.S. & Canada

Jollibee, a Filipino multinational fast-food restaurant chain, has recently launched a delivery service in the U.S. and Canada via DoorDash. The company is also serving customers in these regions via carryout and drive-through services from its recently opened stores amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The customers are reportedly eligible for free delivery on the first orders from these stores. They can order either a la carte from the brand’s signature offerings, build their own meals, or order a family pack that features some of its favorite items. In order to ensure the quality of the food products, the brand will also secure each order with the tamper-evident seal.

According to a statement made by Maribeth Dela Cruz, president of Jollibee Foods Corporation North America, Philippine Brands, the brand intends to deliver its services and particularly address the healthcare workers and other front-liners who have been fighting continuously against the coronavirus pandemic.

In addition to the recent launch of the nationwide delivery, the brand is also encouraging the front-liners by delivering and donating meals. For instance, it is donating 5,000 meals to the healthcare workers at various hospitals across the country. These delivery care packages contain a ‘Note of Joy’ from customers to show appreciation for these workers and their dedicated services during the pandemic.

This restaurant chain is the largest fast-food brand in the Philippines, spanning across a network of 1,400 stores. It has over 240 international branches, which include United Kingdom, Italy, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei, Macau, Hong Kong, Canada, and the United States.

Jollibee opened its first North America store in 1998 in California and has expanded its reach by operating 50 new stores across the region. This includes Washington, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Nevada, Illinois, Hawaii, Florida, California, Arizona, and Virginia in the U.S., and Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario and Manitoba in Canada.
