Kerry Logistics JV with E-Services Group aims at e-commerce fulfilment

The companies will be combining their global supply chain facilities, technology platform and marketplace networks to offer cost-efficient solutions to e-retailers.

Kerry Logistics, one of the leaders among supply chain agents, recently announced it has formed a new joint-venture with E-Services Group (ESG), a Hong Kong based e-commerce company, to strengthen its global e-commerce fulfilment capabilities.

The joint venture would be titled Kerry ESG (HK) Company Limited and through this Kerry Logistics will be combining its global supply chain facilities with the technology platform and marketplace networks provided by ESG, thus presenting cost-efficient solutions to e-retailers or ‘etailers’.

Kerry ESG is scheduled to be launched in March 2019 with a goal to become an e-commerce fulfillment solutions leader, facilitating the time-efficient and cost-effective delivery of products to customers across the globe. Additionally, Kerry ESG’s services will enable etailers to seamlessly manage their inventory, order fulfillment and returns from various logistics centers via one platform.

William Ma, Group MD, Kerry Logistics, has been reported to comment on the partnership in an official statement and said that the Group is creating a unique platform through Kerry ESG that will provide overall solutions for services ranging from marketing to logistics and will capitalize on the robust international marketplace model to ease the process of export for its international brand customers.

He added that Kerry Logistics and ESG are well-positioned as industry leaders and combining their forces with this new joint venture would enable them to unlock the potential in the market.

Alan Lim, CEO and Founder, ESG has been reported to say that this partnership will make them a winner at e-commerce as it will help them to get every critical component of the e-commerce puzzle just right including fast and reliable fulfillment which are essentially the backbone of success. He added that the partnership is expected to give etailers access to a wide-ranging distribution network that supports e-commerce fulfillment in every online channel and every market.

According to Kerry Logistics, cross-border e-commerce prospects between Greater China and ASEAN countries have been identified as a significant growth sector and the company expects its alliance with ESG to reinforce its foothold in this market.
