Nestle introduces three new flavors of the beloved Smarties Buttons

  • Smarties Buttons will be available in mouth-watering white, milk and orange chocolate flavors
  • Single packs will cost 65p while the sharing packs will be worth £1.59

Nestle S.A., a Swiss confectionery company, has reportedly announced a major update to its chocolate smarties range in the United Kingdom. The company has recently impressed consumers with the launch of three new flavors of the beloved Smarties Buttons including orange chocolate, white and orange milk.

These tasty treats will all be filled with bits of the beloved chocolaty treat and will hit stores in the United Kingdom and Ireland this week.

The company announced the release of this most welcome move on beloved on Smarties after 83 years when they were first introduced in 1937. According to sources, a sharing pack of 90g smarties buttons will cost £1.59, while 32.5g single packs will cost 65p. Meanwhile, the orange chocolate flavor will only available to purchase from Asda supermarket, and weigh 85g.

Alberto Pisanello, who is the Brand Manager for Smarties, said that Smarties hold a special place in a heart of so many folks, and they are much loved for their taste, bright colors, and texture. At the same time, consumers expect innovations and varieties in a snack of their favorite brands.

Pisanello added that Nestlé’s Smarties Buttons offer all the fun, crunch and color of Smarties, blended in tasty smooth milk, orange-flavored chocolate or white button. Their company is extremely excited to launch this new addition to the family and hopes that fans would love these three new flavors, said Pisanello.

Reports claim that Smarties Buttons are being manufactured at Nestle's Fawdon-based factory, near Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The factory is home to some of UK's best confectionery brands such as Caramac, Rolo, Munchies and Toffee Crisp, and Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles and Jelly Tots.
