PDI expands APAC business with launch of Bangkok Centre of Excellence

PDI (Professional Datasoultions Inc.), a global company that provides leading software solutions to serve the logistics, petroleum wholesale and convenience retail sectors, has recently opened a regional Center of Excellence in Bangkok. PDI aims to expand its resources and capabilities to create a strong foothold in the Asia Pacific region and serve its customers with better local knowledge.

According to a Nielsen report, the retail industry launched a total of 73,000 convenience stores in the APAC region, as the industry expanded by 10% in the year 2018. The convenience retail sector of Thailand reportedly represented a share of 58.3 percent of its overall trade, with 29% of consumers stating that they make visits in a convenience store two or three times every week.

Apparently, the state-of-the-art Bangkok office of PDI will be supporting the global expansion for its customers in over 50 countries as part of the PDI’s initiative in order to create regional Centers of Excellence. Moreover, the company is looking to attract highly talented personnel in order to accelerate innovation as well as help in delivering next-gen solutions for petroleum wholesalers and convenience retailers.

Citing reports, the new office is located in central part of the city in Bangkok and the facility shall be inaugurated on 26 July 2019. The event will be hosted by Jimmy Frangis, CEO of PDI, and its sales vice president and managing director, Sin Hin Wong. It is said that the guests attending shall be given a chance to engage with the team of PDI as well as explore the solutions showcase.

Frangis stated that the company is dedicated towards serving the requirements of petroleum wholesalers and convenience retailers in order to keep up with the changes in the industries, thrive in the digital economy and help run their businesses better. The company is looking forward to making an investment that creates a world-class work environment for their employees.
