Affidea Group has reportedly announced strategic acquisitions in Portugal, Romania, and Spain- adding 7 new centers to its 327-center network- under its growth strategy.

The company has acquired Clínica de Santa Mafalda and Clínica Nuno Álvares in Portugal. These are two crucial providers of advanced outpatient and diagnostics services in the Almada municipality in the greater Lisbon area.

Located in the center of Almada, Clínica Nuno Álvares has been a crucial healthcare provider for three decades, providing a wide range of diagnostics exams, clinical analyses, and medical consultations.

Similarly, Santa Mafalda Clinic, situated in the center of Costa Caparica, has provided a variety of consultations for three decades across 25 clinical specialties. This acquisition takes Affidea Portugal to 19 clinics at a national level, over 300 blood collection points, and 3 laboratories.

Affidea has also acquired polyclinics Colmenar Viejo Radiodiagnosis, El Mirador Polyclinic, and Infanta Mercedes Medical Centre in Spain. This move brings a variety of more than 25 specialty consultations to Affidea patients.

The centers partner with over 30 medical societies and many clinical analysis laboratories and serve privately as well as publicly funded patients.

The Infanta Mercedes Medical Centre is situated in one of Madrid’s busiest residential and business areas while the two centers, Colmenar Viejo Radiodiagnosis and El Mirador Polyclinic, are in the North of Madrid. This acquisition takes Affidea Spain to 40 clinics at a national level.

Affidea acquired two Phoenix medical centers in Alba Iulia and Deva in Romania, taking its Romania network to 38 centers. Both clinics offer MRI, CT, and Dexa services along with consultations across many medical specialties.

With these inclusions, the number of Affidea centers across Europe has reached 327, taking its collaborations with professionals to more than 11,000, and seeking close to 12 million patients each year.

In June 2022, Affidea received the Diagnostic Provider of the Year Award at HealthInvestor Awards 2022.
