Arzooo invests $2 million in in-house logistics service Arzooo Express

Arzooo, the Indian retail tech-startup, has reportedly launched its in-house logistics service, Arzooo Express, investing around USD 2 million in the project. This investment round comes after a USD 6 million funding round which was recently raised by the company from Trifecta Capital.

According to Arzooo, the new venture will provide complete nation-wide logistical support ranging from first-mile deliveries to last-mile services for their partner stores.

The company has stated that this new service will help to improve their delivery speed and overall serviceability, enhance its supply chain efficiency and expand its cash on delivery feature to a larger network.

The CEO and co-founder of Arzooo, Khushnud Khan, expressed that Arzooo Express provides the best supply chain workflow that is built to manage large products. The company aims at delivering services to its customers at a faster rate and with an optimum operational efficiency that will help in achieving the larger goal of serving 50,000 stores by the end of 2021.

Arzooo Express, with a fleet of trucks, will be serving over 10,000 pin codes across India in the first phase.

The startup plans to double its logistical support to serve over 20,000 pin codes across the country, with a fleet three times larger than the current one, along with an advanced supply chain technology by the end of this year.

Arzooo Express currently serves the firm’s own client base. However, it has plans to extend the logistics service as a third-party provider in coming years, as stated by the company.

The B2B startup has so far raised a capital of over USD 15 million. Eric Yuan, the founder of Zoom, has also invested in the company, marking his first time investing in an Indian company.

Arzooo was founded by IIT-Kharagpur alumni and former Flipkart colleagues Rishi Raj Rathore and Khushnud Khan in 2018. The company has disrupted the offline retail sector by supporting offline stores to help them withstand competition from larger e-commerce websites.
