CPSI announces a licensing partnership with Medicomp Systems

CPSI Inc., a healthcare solution provider, has reportedly announced a licensing partnership with Medicomp Systems, a company that produces solutions for relevant, actionable, and usable medical data.

CPSI will be integrating its EHR (Electronic Health Record) platforms with the Quippe Clinical Data Engine of Medicomp. This collaboration will offer clients more efficient access to information pertaining to a specific issue or a patient at the point of care.

The Quippe Clinical Data Engine of Medicomp provides clinically meaningful and top-quality data within clinical workflows. Adding this technology to the product solutions provided by the CPSI group of companies will provide clinicians and service providers with problem-focused views. This includes relevant details related to a specific patient for any known or unknown state of disease, enhancing the usability of the system and providing users the insights they need.

As per William J. Hayes, M.D., Chief Medical Officer of CPSI, this agreement is the right step forward as it provides substantial value to its patients, clients, and the communities served by the company. Using data standardization, Quippe Clinical Data Engine assists in eliminating non-relevant information in the EHR which can have a negative impact on the clinical workflows.

He added that the technology mimics the thought process of healthcare clinicians and implements methods that substantially enhances the efficiency of the workflow. It also improves clinical decision-making in providing high-quality patient care, thereby enhancing treatment outcomes.

The Chief Executive Officer and President of CPSI, Boyd Douglas, supposedly commented that the company is delighted to enter this collaboration with Medicomp. By using the solutions offered by Quippe, CPSI will be able to improve the value of its already-proven EHRs, he claimed.

He also stated that the additional functionality enables the company to support its clients throughout their progressive transition to value-based payment models and dependency on quality outcomes. This collaboration also strengthens CPSI’s goals of facilitating best-practice care delivery.
