Datavant-Prognos Health expand alliance to bring value to life science brands

Leading healthcare analytics platform firm Prognos Health and Datavant, an industry leader in data connectivity for healthcare organizations have reportedly announced an extension of their partnership to bring more value to life science brands.

This move will bring together the data ecosystem access, management, and analysis expertise of Prognos within the Prognos Marketplace™, and the connectivity solutions and data source partner network of Datavant, in order to expedite the time-to-value for the acquisition of purpose-oriented healthcare data assets.

Co-founder and CEO of Datavant, Travis May has commented on the company’s excitement at strengthening their relationship with Prognos, stating that their Marketplace solution facilitates the quick acquisition and integration of many purpose-built real-world datasets obtained from a plethora of data sources. He added that the combination of Datavant’s privacy-protecting connectivity solutions and Prognos’ Marketplace will give life science brands the power to locate fit-for-purpose, patient-centric datasets more efficiently.

The alliance will incorporate the extensive source network of Datavant into the Prognos Marketplace, which is part of the prognosFACTOR platform of the firm, in order to give life science businesses a single platform for obtaining healthcare data required to cater to an array of business needs.

Via access to the burgeoning and diverse ecosystem of real-world data sources in Prognos Marketplace, users can identify their ideal patient cohort, as well as gain major therapeutic, demographic, and physician insights prior to the purchase of data for the specified patient cohorts.

Prognos Health’s CEO Sundeep Bhan has reportedly stated that this partnership with Datavant will enable the company to give key healthcare stakeholders more clarity on data options that offer deeper insights into specific cohorts of patients, whilst delivering flexibility, speed, and control throughout the process. He further added that the expansion of their alliance would enable the businesses to drive development in healthcare analytics and in turn improve patient outcomes.
