Dozee introduces contactless patient monitoring system for hospitals
  • The company has partnered with over 70 hospitals in under 3 months to deploy the system in home-based hospital care and wards
  • This system consists of a triaging system that converts any hospital bed into a step-down ICU in no time

Dozee has reportedly introduced Dozee Pro, a contactless, remote vitals monitor for hospitals. This system comprises of a triaging system powered by AI that can convert any bed into a step-down ICU in less than 2 minutes. It also allows patients to be remotely monitored outside the ICU.

The company is witnessing an increased adoption of their new patient monitoring solution. Over 70 hospitals in India have partnered with the AI startup in under 3 months to deploy the technology. The company has deployed around 4000 devices in numerous hospitals for continuous patient monitoring and enhancing clinical outcomes and patient care.

Dozee has helped save lives of over 250 patients by early identification of health deterioration and risk and has monitored over 16,000 patients. The company expects to collaborate with over 500 hospitals and increase the patient monitoring count to 200000 over the next year.

Dozee Pro accurately monitors a patient’s respiratory rate, heart rate and other such clinical parameters like myocardial and sleep apnea metrics by staying remote and out of contact with the patient. The system comprises of a cloud-based tool for patient monitoring, communication pod, an industrial-grade contactless sensor along with a triaging system powered by Artificial Intelligence which offers 24/7 patient monitoring and captures body vitals in real time.

The system, which is developed in India, has been claimed to have a medical grade accuracy of 98.4% after conducting successful clinical trials with over 1000 subjects at Sri Jayadeva Institute and NIMHANS. Dozee Pro enables healthcare service providers to receive patient updates from home and other settings outside hospitals. It also helps the family members of the patient, patients and their healthcare providers to understand clinical processes, and allows them to detect clinical deterioration early without visiting the hospitals.
