DW Healthcare Partners invests in virtual care provider CareXM

Healthcare focused private equity firm, DW Healthcare Partners, has reportedly shared plans to partner with virtual care and patient engagement solutions provider, CareXM. The deal represents one of the three investments in DW Healthcare Partners’ fifth fund, state sources.

As per the Managing Director of DWHP, Doug Schilinger, the world has undergone a rapid change over the past year with CareXM’s mission being the most relevant. Schilinger has further stated that the CareXM platform enhances a provider’s ability for communicating and serving patients in a remote manner, in turn providing 24/7 clinical overflow support. DWHP is thrilled to work with a company that is keen on helping the elevation of patient experience via innovative virtual health technology, added Schilinger.

CareXM’s virtual care offerings and patient engagement platform, comprising clinical nurse triage, are reportedly utilized by hospitals, home health and hospice providers, physician practices, and several other care providers across the United States. Given that all services are available round the clock, are HIPAA-compliant, and could be combined with the providers’ current electronic medical scheduling and record platforms.

CareXM’s agreement with DW Healthcare Partners is quite complementary added Luminet CEO, Tim Smokoff, stating that as Luminet enters the next stage of development, its healthcare services and technology are further set to transform the company’s caregiver and patient experience. The involvement of these companies with Luminet has enabled it to adopt a more proactive approach in addressing clientele and patient requirements through its own platform, added Smokoff.

Uninitiated, DW Healthcare Partners is a private equity company with exclusive focus on the healthcare industry. The firm is known for making investments in leading healthcare companies having proven management teams and reportedly manages more than $1.43 billion in committed capital. Led by seasoned healthcare executives and having more than 120 years of combined industry experience, the company offers strategic guidance, capital, and acquisition expertise for helping mid-stage companies in realizing its growth potential.
