Simbec-Orion deploys Veeva’s clinical applications to improve process

Simbec-Orion, the UK-based full-service CRO for complex clinical studies, has reportedly deployed Veeva Systems Inc.’s two clinical applications named ‘Veeva Vault eTMF ‘ and ‘Veeva Vault CTMS’ to digitalize end-to-end clinical trial workflows, trial data, and documents.

Veeva offers the digital foundation to operate clinical trials and keep clinical studies on track. These applications will provide the company with real-time insights into clinical studies across phases to boost trial execution.

Speaking on which, Narinder Virk who is the Director of project management at Simbec-Orion said that the company’s team would have the transparency to operate effective clinical trials and make agile decisions. These applications could accelerate execution and enhance study delivery while maintaining high-quality data for sponsors, he added.

Rik Van Mol, VP of strategy for Veeva Development Cloud said that adoptive CROs such as Simbec-Orion are renovating processes to offer differentiated services to sponsors. He added that Veeva Vault enables a better-connected way of working with stakeholders for improved productivity and efficiency in clinical trials.

Sources cite that Vault eTMF and Vault CTMS enable CROs and sponsors to efficiently share data and documents across eTMF, CTMS, and study start-up for improved collaboration and enhanced efficiency throughout the study lifecycle.

These applications unify clinical processes on a solo platform to streamline data sharing with sponsors and assure compliance with GCP requirements. For instance, monitoring reports in Vault CTMS can be filed in Vault eTMF automatically to enhance speed and efficiency.

For the record, Veeva Systems is one of the leading companies deploying cloud-based solutions including software, data, and services for global life sciences industry. Committed to product excellence, innovation, and customer success, the company caters to over 950 customers ranging from the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies to emerging biotech firms.
