SNAQ & Innovation Zed partner to enhance health results for diabetics

Irish MedTech company Innovation Zed has reportedly signed a global data integration and partnership agreement with SNAQ to improve health results for people with diabetes.

Under the new agreement, Innovation Zed and SNAQ will jointly pursue to consolidate and commercialize their respective products.

SNAQ supports diabetics to help in planning mealtimes. The highly-rated app helps to count the proteins, fat, and carb content of meals by clicking a photo. It supports the knowledge of maintaining post-meal glucose levels within the target range. SNAQ connects to many well-known diabetes apps and devices.

On the other hand, Innovation Zed is headquartered at NovaUCD, the Centre for New Ventures and Entrepreneurs at UCD (University College Dublin). It helps insulin pen users within the diabetic patient pool.

Currently, it is difficult to adhere to insulin therapy. A focus on fostering people to adhere to their injection schedule can enhance their TIR (time in range) and total long-term glucose control (HbA1c). Such enhancements can help in mitigating the likelihood of developing complications arising due to diabetes.

Innovation Zed CEO Dean Minnock stated that the forthcoming consolidation of its BLE- enabled InsulCheck products InsulCheck DOSE and InsulCheck CONNECT with the SNAQ App will foster current SNAQ users and allure new users to integrate this technology to enhance glucose control around meals.

SNAQ CEO Aurelian Briner commented that this collaboration will enable the company to automatically connect and import insulin data with meals.

InsulCheck DOSE and InsulCheck CONNECT are Innovation Zed's add-on technologies that are BLE-enabled for insulin pen users to track and provide insulin pen data to diabetes management applications to enhance results and reduce the load of injection schedules.

InsulCheck CONNECT automatically obtains important usage data that provides information on injection history to insulin pen users. When paired with a Bluetooth® device, the end-users can see behavioral analysis on their preferred diabetes management applications.
