TCPL digitally transforms supply chain with Accenture & Blue Yonder

TCPL (Tata Consumer Products Limited) has recently unveiled an integrated and autonomous supply chain, in collaboration with digital supply chain & omnichannel commerce fulfillment leader Blue Yonder, with Accenture as the implementer.

With the support of solutions like the LuminateTM Planning platform from Blue Yonder, TCPL’s efforts to digitally transform supply chain will significantly improve the end-to-end visibility through the value chain, in order to address evolving consumer demands and usher in purposeful development.

The project was powered by the strategic partner of Blue Yonder for SaaS-based solutions, Microsoft Azure.

For those unversed, India-based TCPL is a consumer products firm that brings together the food & beverage interests of Tata Group. The portfolio of the company is expansive, and includes water, coffee, tea, salt, spices, pulses, among other packaged food products. The firm is bringing about considerable innovations, by focusing on new marketplace models, and is hoping for a more prominent role in the food & beverage sector.

By collaborating with Accenture, and leveraging the Luminate Planning solutions from Blue Yonder, TCPL is set to enhance service levels and delivery responses, minimize emissions & logistics costs, as well as give the sales organization’s frontline decision-making powers.

According to Accenture India’s managing director, Vineet R. Ahuja, the supply chain transformation of TCPL will facilitate better and more intelligent execution and planning, to achieve more sustainability, efficiency, and resilience. With its expertise in responsible supply chain, and its experience in the consumer goods domain, Ahuja claims, TCPL will have access to a customer-centric, future-proof supply chain, as well as dynamic retail sales intelligence, bringing it closer to its end customers.

Microsoft India’s executive director, Commercial Partners, Venkat Krishnan has also reportedly stated that the integration of Blue Yonder’s Luminate Planning solutions with the Microsoft Azure platform will allow TCPL to add more value. He added that Luminate Planning will aid the company in addressing myriad planning requirements, and making sure consumers have the correct products as and when they need them, owing to the enterprise-grade reliability provided by Microsoft Azure.
