Ulta Beauty and IRI to establish strategic multiyear collaboration

IRI®, a leading data analytics firm, has reportedly announced a strategic, multiyear partnership with Ulta Beauty, the largest beauty retailer in the U.S., to improve perspective on the beauty market.

Under the partnership, Ulta Beauty will use the innovative solution suite of IRI for consumer insights, e-commerce data, and merchandising tools to bolster its go-to-market strategies.

IRI’s solutions recognize shoppers’ online behavior, offer a comprehensive view of the e-commerce universe, and aid companies in making better investment decisions to drive online growth.

Wei Lin Wong, the President of Global Retail and Strategy at IRI stated that the personalized solutions offered by the company will provide Ulta Beauty with relevant data as well as real-time, actionable insights to advance its retail strategy.

Through IRI’s shopper and consumer insight solutions, Ulta Beauty will better understand shopping behaviors like in-the-moment and on-the-go needs of guests. The company’s innovative platform also allows the retailer to modify its merchandising processes by integrating decision-making data with real-time, easy-to-consume insights.

Jordan Pious, the Senior Director of Merchandising Strategy and Insights at Ulta Beauty expressed his belief that the data-driven approach of the company enables it to get a holistic view of consumer and retail channels to unlock relevant actions. He added that the partnership with IRI will enable Ulta Beauty to improve the usability of data and analytics, inform its merchandising plans, and maximize its guests’ experiences.
