Vesta Healthcare raises $65M for home healthcare transformation

Leading digital health and 24/7 clinical provider, Vesta Healthcare, has reportedly secured nearly $65M in a financing led by Deerfield Management Company. The event also saw participation from existing investors, such as Oak HC/FT, Lux Capital, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Nationwide, Generator Ventures, CareCentrix as well as Epstein Partners along with new participants, including K2 HealthVentures and an anonymous investor.

For the record, Vesta Healthcare dedicatedly works to support high-need members based at homes and to connect insights received from their caregivers to the remaining care team. It was established in 2018 with a mission to ensure better health outcomes for members that have significant healthcare needs and wished to remain at home with the support of their caregivers.

Sources also claim that the company had previously raised approximately $30M in 2019, rounding up the total funding to $95M. The additional investment would empower the company’s growth into new geographies with the launch of novel program offerings and expansion of its abilities to employ population health programs and risk contracts.

Mr. Randy Klein, the CEO of Vesta Healthcare, expressed delight in the opportunity, as it would enable the team to continue their mission-driven approach in delivering care to high-need individuals. He revealed that the backing of innovative technology to their physicians, nurses, and the whole clinical team has potentially transformed their all-day home care delivery. He further mentioned that the additional investment would help in rapidly expanding their presence and providing continuity in the creation of novel care models as well as data-driven technology solutions at homes.

Reportedly, the unique Homecareist model offered by Vesta sets up a specialized provider team to manage and coordinate the in-home care between aging patients at homes and their paid or unpaid caregivers as well as the rest of the care delivery. It also empowers the caregivers and care teams to enhance the health outcomes whilst keeping the members healthy and looked after at homes.
