Vivo India announces launch of 500th exclusive retail store in India

Vivo India, a global smartphone company, has recently announced the opening of its 500th exclusive store in India. The smartphone company is further targeting to increase the number of its retail stores to 650 by 2021.

The recent launch of 500 stores has enabled the company to expand its network of exclusive stores across more than 280 cities in the country, including major Tier 1,2, and 3 cities.

As per the statement made by Vivo India’s Director of Brand Strategy, Nipun Marya, the company is thrilled to reach the milestone of opening 500 exclusive smartphone stores in India. Increasing number of customers have high preferences towards offline sales channel, as they wish to experience the product before making a purchase. Additionally, the company aims at putting customer centricity at the heart of its business, in order to deliver a unique retail experience to the customers.

Mr. Marya further added that the smartphone company is also planning to expand its retail network in the country and reach nearly 650 exclusive stores by the end of 2021. This facility expansion is in line with its aim to deliver an exclusive retail experience to the customers.

In a bid to drive footprint in the premium experimental retail in India, Vivo has added above 150 retail stores during the ongoing calendar year. The company’s exclusive stores have also installed multiple zones where the customers can experience the live demonstration of its smartphones, gaming, and virtual reality, among others.

As per reliable reports, Vivo held a market share of 28% by volume in the India smartphone market in the Q2 of 2020. This has made the company the largest brand in mainline retail in the region. In addition, the brand also had announced the competition of 6 years of operations in India.
