Walmart Inc. has reportedly partnered with British retailer Space NK to introduce Prestige Beauty products to Walmart.com and almost 250 Walmart stores throughout the nation this summer.
The distinct partnership, dubbed BEAUTYSPACENK, uses the size and scale of Walmart with the legendary British beauty and personal care company’s portfolio of top-quality beauty products and brands. Consumers will now have an easier way to shop both prestige specialty items and beauty staples during their weekly shopping trip at Walmart.
Space NK has meticulously developed a collection of prestige products exclusively for the Walmart customer, spanning various price points across makeup, skincare, bath and body, and haircare. Starting March 15, BEAUTYSPACENK will be available on Walmart.com and comprises more than 600 products from around 15 new and established brands, some of which are exclusively available at Walmart, with more to come across the year.
According to the Merchandising Director of Prestige Beauty Laurie Tessier, Walmart is looking for new methods to expand its assortment and provide easy access to the best product portfolio across beauty. In bringing new additions in the beauty aisle as well as online, the company collaborated with Space NK, added Tessier.
Andy Lightfoot, Space NK’s Chief Executive Officer, stated that the company has created a proposal for the retailer called BEAUTYSPACENK using its years of experience in this sector. Lightfoot added that the company has selected the best of beauty for its customers, enabling them to shop prestige beauty at their convenience.
Consolidating Walmart’s expertise in the U.S. consumer and the established track record of Space NK of finding and selecting the best in beauty, BEAUTYSPACENK is categorized under four pillars, makeup, skincare, bath and body, and haircare, spanning indie, luxe, plant-powered, award-winning among others. The assortment comprises indie brands like PSA, luxe brands like By Terry, Lancer, Philip B, Slip among others.
